THE 2013 NATIVE LANGUAGE ""My Life In Korea"", personal experienceESSAY PRIZE CONTEST.

The Sookmyung Women’s University Asian Women Research Institute is holding the prize contest for women marital immigrants’essays on ‘My Life in Korea’ written in their own language. The contest is supported by KEB (KOREA EXCHANGE FOUNDATION). The participation of women marital immigrants will be highly appreciated.

- Applicants: women marital immigrants residing in Korea

* Divorced or separated women are also qualified to apply for the contest.

- Length of the Essay: less than 3 pages in A4-size paper

(Be exciting, 11points, 0%original, line spacing 160%)

- Contents of the Essay:

You can write what you have experienced and felt as a woman marital immigrant on the following 5 themes.

① My experiences in the Korean culture (Traditional art, food, etiquette, etc)

② Family life (the family’s mutual understanding and unity, the children’s upbringing and education) in Korea

③ My economic adaptation and financial establishment in Korea.

④ My travel experiences in Korea (Impressive place, etc)

⑤ Any other experiences (Korean lifestyle and association experience).

- Language(s): your own native language

- Submission deadline: from May 1 to July 2, 2013

(Valid for essays submitted at 5 p.m. on the day)

-Announcement of Winners and Award Ceremony: October 1, 2013

             ① 1 Grand Prize: cash prize of 3,000,000 won

             ② 2 Gold Prizes: cash prize of 1,000,000 won

             ③ 5 Silver Prizes: cash prize of 700,000 won

             ④ 10 Bronze Prizes: cash prize of 500,000 won

             ⑤ 15 Honorable Mentions: cash prize of 300,000 won
