It is pleasure to announce the renewal of the websites and manuscripts submission/review system for the International journals, Asian Women (SSCI, Scopus, KCI) and OMNES: Journal of Multicultural Society (KCI) published by the Research Institute of Asian Women (RIAW) at Sookmyung Women's University to better serve our readers and contributors.
In particular, the newly adopted submission/review system significantly strengthens the journals' professionality and international accessibility by implementing Editorial Manager (EM), the globally recognized platform developed by the academic publisher Elsevier to meet international publishing standards.
Through the new system, all steps from submission and peer review to editorial decision can now be handled efficiently and transparently online, offering a more streamlined experience for researchers. OMNES: Journal of Multicultural Society has also transitioned to a more robust and reliable platform in line with its status as a KCI indexed journal.
In addition, Asian Women Vol. 41 No. 2 was published on June 30, 2025 and is now available on our new website under the “Current Issue” section. This issue features in-depth research articles addressing gender issues across a range of fields including film and literature, political participation, childbirth and motherhood, women’s leadership, gender norms, and sports. The studies provide multifaceted perspectives on gender, power, resistance, representation, and agency, with case studies from diverse regions including the Middle East, South Korea, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia in Asia.
We deeply appreciate your continued interest and support for Asian Women and OMNES, and we warmly invite your future submissions and readership.
